Over the last six years, Elaine Jagger from Hipperholme, Halifax has been collecting loose change from colleagues at the Bradford-based contact centre and has managed to raise a fantastic £4000 for the UKs leading baby charity The Foundation for the Study of Infant Deaths (FSID).
The charity aims to help prevent unexpected deaths in infancy and promote infant health. Part of their work includes providing support for families whose babies have died suddenly and unexpectedly, research into what can cause deaths in infancy and also provide training for teenage mothers.
Elaine who coaches customer relationship managers at Loop said: "I started to get involved with the FSID when my granddaughter was born six years ago. I felt so blessed to have a happy, healthy, beautiful girl that I wanted to do something worthwhile to help other families.
"Leahs nursery had a collection for the FSID and I was so impressed by the work that the charity does that I decided I would try and collect even just a small amount of money to help the cause. My colleagues at Loop have been great and some of them even bring me the money from their copper jars at home.
"The amount of money that we have raised really makes a huge difference to the charity and may help contribute to saving a young innocent life."
Loop has its own charity action group - The Heart of Loop - which supports a number of worthy charities each year. Employees are regularly involved in volunteering initiatives with its sister company Yorkshire Water such as the One Million Green Fingers campaign that uses employees to create gardens in schools across the region and the Right to Read and Number Partner schemes that help primary school children with extra support.
