Time Not Called On Loop Employees

World Cup 2010

Colleagues at Loop have been given time out to watch England compete in the World Cup in a bid to ensure that they didnt miss out on any crucial action.

Small groups were allowed 15 minutes to watch games in the restaurant at Loop, whilst the games were also put on the large plasma TVs in the offices without sound.

Other activities being carried out during the World Cup included a desk decorating competition where teams chose a country taking part and themed their pods on it. The winning pod was German themed featuring an inflatable paddling pool surrounded by chairs that had been reserved by towels, bunting, flags and an area that had been turned into a German tourist information bureaux .

Two teams headed by Zoe Mason and Jonathan Harding are taking part in a work-based productivity knockout competition where colleagues are challenged to beat the number of Homeserve policies converted. The winners from each team will then take part in a penalty shoot out where the winning team member will be awarded with a team meal out.

Mark Holdsworth team manager at
Loop said: "Its really important that our colleagues enjoy coming to work and a lot of them enjoy watching one off events like the World Cup which is why we felt it was a good idea for employees to be able to watch the England games."

A World Cup dress down day raised over £187 for the Foundation for the Study of Infants Death
