At Loop it is recognised that to have a motivated and enthusiastic workforce it is important that employees have a flexible work-life balance.
With approximately 75 per cent of the workforce being female the policies around flexible working hours, term time working and maternity leave are key drivers to retaining the best employees.
But it’s not just the working mothers that get all the best deals – grandparents have the opportunity to take time off to be with their family at the time of the birth of their grandchild. They are entitled to take one day paid leave and have an extra four days unpaid holiday that can be taken over 12 months to help provide an extra pair of hands to their family.
Accommodating the needs of the workforce is paramount to Loop’s ‘Great Place to Work’ ethos. Life opportunity leave allows employees to take up to a year’s unpaid leave for things like travelling, studying or indeed caring responsibilities and childcare vouchers allow employees to gain savings on nursery care and private childminders.
Allan Hillman, HR manager at Loop commented: “As a company we want to make sure that our employees feel that they can spend time with their families whilst also being able to fulfil their careers. Therefore, it is important for us that our flexible working policies, maternity and paternity schemes are tailored towards balancing the needs of the individual with those of the business .”
Customer relationship manager in Loop’s commercial debt team, Amy Barron said: "Back in March I gave birth to my daughter, Tylan. The companys flexible working policies have allowed me to fit my job around my childcare needs. Loop understands that when you become a parent the needs of your child are important, since coming back to work in November I have altered the days that I work to ensure that I can get the right work life balance."
