We all make a difference

Employment policies

Equality and diversity
Loop is a diverse employer and will apply objective criteria to assess potential suitability for jobs.

We aim to ensure that no job applicant or employee receives less favourable treatment on the grounds of race, colour, nationality, religion, ethnic or national origins, age, gender, marital status, sexual orientation or disability.

Selection criteria and procedures are reviewed to ensure that individuals are selected, promoted and treated on the basis of their relevant merits and abilities.

All employees will be given equality of opportunity and, where appropriate and possible, special training to enable them to progress both within and outside the organisation.

Loop is committed to a continuing programme of action to make this policy effective and bring it to the attention of all employees.

Loop operates in a diverse community. Our stakeholders include employees, customers, suppliers, contract partners, regulators and shareholders. We aim to recognise and value this diverse stakeholder population through understanding and meeting its different needs. We aim to promote equality and diversity as an employer and seek to ensure that equality and diversity principles underpin all areas of our work and service provision.

Loop is already a very diverse organisation which truly represents the community that it serves. We recognise the benefits this brings for the business itself and our customers. We work with various local community organisations through the JobCentre to help working mothers, disabled people and other diverse groups return to work. Our recruitment literature shows employees of various ages, sexes and ethnicities which helps to attract potential candidates. We have been awarded with the Disability 2 ticks symbol for actively recruiting and developing people with disabilities in our organisation.

Dignity at work
We have a Dignity at Work policy which employees can gain access to via the intranet. This policy covers grievances and harassment issues and how to deal with them informally or formally. We have a very open culture and the majority of issues are solved informally by our Team Managers before issues can escalate out of control. All Team Managers are fully trained on how to deal with issues such as these through internal management development sessions.

Maternity, Paternity and Adoption
We offer a maternity and adoption package that goes over and above the legal statutory payments, this also applies to paternity leave. The process will be managed closely between you, your manager and HR to ensure you are kept in the loop about your all entitlements. We also offer KIT days (Keeping in Touch days) which allow you to keep in touch with the workplace throughout your leave and help ease you into your eventual return to work.
